This course is designed to provide the safety awareness and rescue skills needed to paddle safety on flat water. It is also a pre-requisite for the BCU level 1 and 2 Coach awards.

Three Star

Successful performance at this level and candidates can consider themselves intermediate paddlers rather than beginners. It is also a pre-requisite for the Level Two Coach award.

Four Star

This award is designed to ensure that the candidate has sufficient experience and is proficient enough to undertaken a journey as a member of a group

Previous experience: Three Star skills, although the award is not essential.
